Christmas/New Years

So now we are up to Christmas and new years.  Brenda wanted me to make a step stool for James so he could participate in what we are doing in the kitchen so I did.  It was really a 2wk before Christmas gift though since he really wanted to see what was going on.  He likes to get on it and move it all over the place, and it matches the ceiling and cabinets so we like it too.
Took way to long to design it and make it so it could be a small toy box as well, but we never use it for that.

When the dump truck arrived from Aunt Tami it was making all sorts of noises in the box and he could not wait to get it open.  My parents came down for the 22nd-24th and we opened a few presents on the 23rd.
What is that I hear....a present??
Playing with said present.
The pillow pet was not a hit out of the box.  Uncle Joel and Aunt Missy did a great job picking a gift out.
He warmed up after a while and gave it a kiss.  He now rides the pet while holding onto the antlers.

Brenda's parents came on the 24th and stayed till the 29th. We had a great time with them as well. We opened the rest of the presents with them on the 24th.
I gave Brenda this pot.  It was a kind of "here woman...now make me some food" gift, but she loves it and we have used it a lot.
Brenda found this at a second hand kids store for like $10.  It drives, makes sounds, and has motorised arm so ti was also a hit.
Brenda got a hand made sign for the back portch which indicates the year we bought our house in Greenacres....also known as DeJong Acres.

Brenda's dad gave James a handmade tool box with a bunch of vintage tools he was able to paint and make look pretty cool.

It was a huge hit and he loves screwdrivers.  He is constantly trying to fix the couch and chair...not that it is broken.

James also likes to sit on the stairs and especially likes it when people sit with him.

Where are we now...kind of fuzzy, but Ben and Laura came on the 29th and left on the 1st.
Again, another picture on the stairs, but this time with some friends his own size.

Addison and James on the step stool using it as a bench.
We went with them to Downtown on the 31st for some fun time on the vintage carousel.  No matter how old you are it is actually quite a lot of fun.

Ashton and Addy had a great time and rode it three times.
James also had fun, but got scarred at one point when I was getting a but rowdy.

Then back at home and everyone gone and we got some snow.  We did not make another snowman, but James and I had a good time going around in the snow.
Brenda is getting bigger and we had an appointment yesterday that put the kid at 8lbs 5oz...I am so glad I am not a woman.  If the kid does not come soon we are going to have to get another c-section, which is probably the more likely scenario.
