Playplace, Bathtime, and Carrots

Not too much going on besides Brenda getting bigger.  James is still up to no good, but most of that is my fault.

He likes Playdough

And  messing around on the ground.

I decided the other day that both of us could use a bath.  I had not bathed in quite some time so I figured it was about time.  Backfired on me though when I caught James peeing in the water, that kid needs to learn that you can only do that in the shower.

He now likes standing on the train and we remind him that he is going to get hurt, but am resigned to the fact that he will have to learn many things the hard way.

Anytime there are tools close by, he feels the need to fix anything.  I only have to show him once and we is right on it.

Notice the giant drool stain.  He has a couple molars coming in, and man it is impossible to keep any shirts dry.

Last week we had some friend moving out of their house and going to Denver.  They had this play structure out in the back and gave it to us.  I had to dismantle it and get it off site, but it actually took a lot less time than I thought.  Now I just have to find a place in our backyard to put it.  We have plenty of space for it, but I don't want to have to mow around this behemoth.

Seriously a very nice and expensive play structure, and for free....We have great friends.

Lastly, we have the garden.  Check out this carrot that the wife pulled out of the ground today.  I have never seen a carrot so wide, but we have so many more where this came from we will not be starving anytime soon.  I did not include a picture of the big potatoes I dug up on Saturday, but they are huge.  We got some seed potatoes from my parents, and I think one of those buggers could feed a family of four.

Reformation Day festival.

Short videos just to make the blog more kiddish..as if I have not already been accused of too much of that already.  James loves to dance around and must have learned his moves from me.

Here we are out for a walk.

For Reformation Day our church had a reformation day festival with all the necessary candy and a ton of games for the kiddos.
Here is the pumpkin chunkin...also known as a trebuchet.  It actually worked really well and glad that Chris put the thing together.  I think I should try and make one next year if I got the time, because who couldn't use a pumpkin catapult.

James and I were hunters and Brenda went as a deer.  A six year old pointed out to her that female deer do not have antlers, but she was not deterred.

James checking out the trebuchet.

Another kid picture for you to drool over his cuteness.

Yesterday Brenda and I got a chance to go to a Eastern Washington football game.  It actually did not rain the whole game so we had a good time.  Every time they get a first down they blast a "eagle" call over the loudspeaker...I pointed out that it actually sounded like a red tailed hawk call, but not a big deal.

Brenda and James hangin out tonight.

And the wife resting.  I remember a call for a prego picture, but have yet to get one so here is what you get.

And a final video.
